Time is life – presentation about mountain rescue (German)

Walter Würtl, mountain scientist, mountain guide and head of division avalanche, talks about his experiences at the mountain rescue from very close up. Thereafter he will discuss with a representative from the Pieps GmbH how avalanche detectors are able to minimize the risk for
freeriders, outdoor sportsmen and mountaineers and how they are able to save life.

Talk about Outdoor Navigation (German)

Mobile navigation systems come into vogue. Only few years ago these technical guides were only of concern for extreme sport athletes. But now a days these products are getting more and more interesting for recreational and outdoor sport.

How can the topic Outdoor Navigation be implemented at the specialist stores? Which devices are sold on the market and what benefits do they have for the consumers?
Our GPS basis training followed by a discussion informs about interesting facts about Outdoor Navigation. From January 27th our partner Sportsella will provide the GPS basis training as an online
training on its website (www.Sportsella.de).

Participants of the talk followed by a discussion will be e.g. the GPS experts Christian Stammel (Navispace), Klaus Bechtold (online GPS portal gpsies.com), Dieter Höpfner (GPS expert from Därr Expeditionsservice GmbH) and Peter Rummel (participant of the Red Bull X-Alps). Gerd Bittl from Sportsella will close the circle to the retailers and shows up individual training possibilities.
Outdoor expert Walter Würtl (mountain scientist, mountain guide and head of division avalanche) will be our presenter.

Talk about Trailrunning (English)

Trailrunning means: Running aside from normal paths over rough and smooth and train coordination, concentration and all important muscles at the same time. This new running trend could bring the retailers a new drive and more turn over.
This talk followed by a discussion informs about future chances and planned programs for the retailers.

What really happened at the South Pole? The Norwegian South Pole explorer Rune Gjeldnes is one of the South Pole experts. In 2006 Rune Gjeldnes crossed on skis the Antarctic. He also played the character of the legendary Norwegian Roald Amundsen for a British documentary about the footrace to the South Pole in 1911. Bergans of Norway invites to a night full of adventures and exciting details – a time travel about the development of the equipment in the last 100 years.
