ispo Best Ager - Trends in the Market of the Future
"SkiVision" – Trendy design within the framework of ispo Best Ager
Trade fair visitors will find the "ispo Best Ager Gallery" will be in Hale A6 at the booth with number
A6.116. For already the third time, ispo is showing products and things worth knowing for commerce
and industry dealing with all aspects of the growing target group 50plus at this unique marketing and
network platform. Under the title "SkiVision", the topic trendy design 50plus will be visualized in the
form of ski designs for the first time. One room in the ispo Best Ager Gallery will exhibit the "SkiVision"
trendy designs.

SkiVision was created in collaboration with VDMD (German Association of Fashion and Textile
Designers). Four designs, which are based on the four trend charts of the VDMD for the fall/winter
08/09 season were chosen from numerous submissions by an independent jury composed of
representatives from commerce and industry.

The task of the designers was to put the color trend charts of the VDMD for the fall/winter 08/09
season on skis. Special focus was on the "woman who knows what she wants thanks to lots of
experience in life." Women as a target group have only drawn attention recently, and older women
have not been included in themes at all till now although they usually are more involved in sports
activities than men of the same age. That is the reason why this topic was selected.

SkiVision is displayed as an object-like, consciously provocative trend installation. In addition to the
printed designs, 3-D installations are set on stylized skis are by the designers at the booth. Iris André,
SkiVision Project Director and Vice President of VDMD explained: "SkiVision attracts attention,
provides ideas for reflecting on, formulates terms from the world of Best Agers and visualizes four
lifestyle worlds."

Bio-Couture

Ambience: a pop festival of nature, synthesis of the natural and mannerism, organic sculptures, floral
elegance

Eco-Luxury
Inspiration: The dream of a perfect synthesis between nature and design
Ambience: Perfect naturalness, tasteful luxury, precious and exclusive, valuable, reduction without
renouncing, double meaning of: natural riches, top quality and handcrafted perfection down to the
smallest detail, shapes full of character, evocative light, intelligent alienation, stylish irony

Neo-Avant-Garde
Inspiration: The re-humanization of decaying urban ambience
Ambience: Realistic to the pain threshold, merciless alternative, wicked, disrespectful, spontaneous,
provocative, trashy, funny, ironic, nonchalant, improvised, fragmentary, experimental, imaginative,
grunge influences, garbage culture, urban ethics, vintage, second-hand cult, hidden wealth, survival
statistics, flea market culture

Post-Romanticism
Inspiration: the longing for a close relation between security, tradition and modern
Ambience: romantic strictness, imaginative modernism, futuristic legends, reserved elegance,
sensitive poverty, mythological poetry, soothing self-consciousness, medieval aspects, sacral, mystic,
Roman, Celtic, gothic, balanced, purist, soothingly static, solid, secure, resistant, protective
