Since December 15th, 2007, outdoor and alpine sports fans have been enjoying the
new special interest channel Outpro TV, broadcast on Satellite Astra. Under the
motto “Outdoor offers more” the first German alpine broadcast network located in
Kempten attempts to whet people’s appetite for outdoor activities in the
German-speaking regions of the Alps. The program features image-heavy reports as
well as a combination of information and entertainment, including the following
subjects: A weather center (Wetter-Center), high quality reports (“OUTPRO Die
Reportage”), service-oriented telecasts (“OUTPRO Gear”, “Safety Zone”) and
exciting documentaries (“OUTPRO Gebiets-Check”) from the mountain regions of
Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The focus is on sports such as alpine skiing,
snowboarding, biking, climbing, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
An
Outpro TV team will represent the network with a special booth in hall A6.419 at
the ispo winter 08 from January 27th to the 30th, 2008. Team members will
closely report on the trade show’s highlights, as well as capture the exciting
atmosphere on location.
Outpro TV transmits daily from 5 to 9 am in the
morning and from 6 pm to 12 am at night. Currently, the program is broadcast via
Satellite ASTRA 19.2 degrees East (12.480 GHz, vertical polarization,
transponder 104) and can be received throughout most regions of Europe. Outpro
has already been incorporated into the Baden-Württemberg cable network. The
integration into additional cable networks in Germany is planned for the first
quarter of 2008. A total of about 11 million households in Germany, Austria, and
Switzerland currently receive the station. |
