or trendy neon look: winter has the matching outfit for any taste. A lot of
fashion featuring even more function. Among the presenting exhibitors were
Bogner, Luhta, Giesswein, Zimtstern, Marc Giradelli, Hummel, Lafuma, Matador,
Deha, Spyder, Think Pink, Luis Trenker, Vist, as well as a number of other
sports fashion brands.
At the outdoor_ispo daily shows were held on the
stage of the snow, ice & rock summit, with presentations by outdoor brands
such as Bertels Textilhandels GmbH, Trespass, Co.Ri.Ma srl, F.lli Campagnolo
GmbH, Goldwin Europe Srl, Halti Oy, MEDICO, Nevica Technical Sportsystem Ltd.,

Premium Brands put Sportstyle in the Spotlight
ispo winter 08 is already recording sports success in advance; the world's largest sporting goods trade fair is again breaking its own record with more than 2,000 exhibitors. The trendy topic of sportstyle is a focal point of the winter event. The combination of sport, fashion and lifestyle is increasingly inspiring premium brands too, which will exhibit their trends & styles in the ispovision area. Top brands such as Tommy Hilfiger are setting new accents in this segment and attracting numerous retailers and trade fair visitors with their trade fair exhibits in Hall A4.
Exclusive fashion and high-quality sports clothing also unite the premium segments of the brands Burton, Evisu Shoos, Yellow Man, Nabholz, Fortitude, William Sharp Shoes, Zdar Boots as well as Canterbury of New Zealand and Vist Aurum, among others, which are also exhibiting in the ispovision hall.
As a premium brand, Tommy Hilfiger stands for innovation, style and optimum quality and also puts these demands perfectly in the limelight in the trade fair theme world ispovision. With his new fall/winter ski collection for 2008, Hilfiger is addressing impassioned and at the same time fashion-conscious skiers and is providing a perfect mixture of fashion, safety and mobility. Tommy Hilfiger has divided his latest winter trends into three segments: Red-Lite (light spring fashion suitable for everyday use), Tech-Style (functional clothing with optimum quality for high-fliers) and Performance-de-Luxe (luxurious sportstyle).
For the first time, Canterbury of New Zealand, the globally leading rugby apparel brand and winner of the ispo Global Sport & Style Awards 2007 (Premium Sportstyle Function Category), is exhibiting its individual design and its unmistakable style in current winter fashion in Hall A4. The premium label Vist stands for refined and sporty, but also for functional clothing. This premium brand is also exhibiting at ispovision and is presenting its new and exclusive ski and clothing line Aurum.
The fact that snowboard clothing can also shine away from the ski slopes and halfpipe apart from its functions for sport will be proved by brand manufacturers such as Burton in Hall A4. With its product highlights, the leading brand in the snowboard segment not only fulfills the needs of fashion, but also the sports needs of winter sports enthusiasts. The manufacturer bet on the know-how of numerous sports pros in developing its premium products.
An increasing number of manufacturers of clothing, shoes and accessories, but also traditional sporting goods manufacturers, have recognized the growth opportunities in the area of sportinspired lifestyles. The theme world of sportstyle is dedicated to this booming market in Halls B1 and B2. In addition to Outlyne, moshiki, Platshirsh, THELimit and Autar, trade fair newcomers such as Hahnenkamm and Astrolabio (the sister brand of Brugi) are exhibiting there.
Numerous Brands Are Celebrating Their Premiere at ispo winter 08
Visitors can get dressed warmly at ispo winter 08 – and do it very fashionably too. The reason for this is that sportstyle, the mixture of sport, fashion and lifestyle, will be one of the big trends in the next season too. This is reason enough for the trade fair organizers to integrate sport-inspired lifestyle as a central topic in the winter event following the new concept of ispo Sport & Style in the summer 2007.
Two months before the trade fair start, all 16 halls of ispo are
already completely booked, which has confirmed the correctness of
expanding of the winter portfolio by the sportstyle segment. In addition to exhibitors of many years such as Bogner, Luis
Trenker and Matador, numerous new participants such as Camper and
Canterbury of New Zealand have been convinced by the growing importance of sport-inspired fashion at ispo
and have registered to participate. In addition, an increasing number
of top brands are betting on sportstyle in their winter collections. For example, brand manufacturers such as Tommy
Hilfiger, YellowMan, Evisu, UGG Boots and Nabholz are exhibiting their
sport fashion trends for the upcoming year at ispo winter 08.
ispo winter is also recording fashion growth in Halls A1 to A3, which
are reserved for the Boardsport segment. In addition to brands such
Burton, Billabong, Zimtstern, Quiksilver, O’Neill, Alprausch and Oakley, streetwear brands well-established
in the market with clear roots in the Boardsport sector are also
exhibiting to present their lifestyle collections. Among others, Vans,
Carhartt, Volcom, Gravis, New Era, Sykum, Pull-In and RVCA will be
present.
Award of the Stiftung der Deutschen Bekleidungsindustrie 2008
The task of the European Fashion Award „Fash 2008“ of the Stiftung der Deutschen Bekleidungsindustrie (German Apparel Industry Foundation) – SDBI – is to design fashion in tune with the environment and social conditions, which provide expression to both aesthetic and ethical attitudes.
The topic should be analyzed to its fullest extent and integrate interaction between the different aspects. Submissions can range from relevant partial solutions all the way to realistic visions and even post-industrial strategies. Because sustainable solutions require a lot of knowledge about the environment, interdisciplinary submissions are expressly requested.
The European Fashion Award “Fash” is presented annually by the Stiftung der Deutschen Bekleidungsindustrie (SDBI). The German Apparel Industry Foundation was founded by fashion entrepreneur Klaus Steilmann in 1978. The objective of the foundation is sustained promotion of young talents.
