Floorball Village: a lot of excitement and enthusiastic reactions from exhibitors
Floorball – the blend of ice hockey and field hockey was an attention magnet as early as the last summer ispo. At ispo winter 08 the organizers provided the growing sport once again with its own platform and thus brought together international clubs, companies, and leading players, to provide the international market and trade show visitors with a defined and attractive reflection of the discipline.
The number of Floorball fans in Germany
increased by 20% last year, a fact reflected positively in the sale of Floorball
products and equipment.
The Floorball manufacturers in particular
provided extremely positive feedback on the special platform, which has become a
fixed component of the ispo. The latest products, trends and technologies were
not the only items in the spotlight, companies such as Unihoc, Uher, or Oneway
were on hand to answer questions and invite interested parties to demo the
equipment. Visitors were able to take up a Floorball stick and test their mettle
in Speed Shooting, Accuracy Shooting or “Beat the Goalie”.
Since the
founding of the International Floorball World Federation (IFF) in 1986, 45
member organizations from Europe, Asia, Oceania, and America have joined. The
great goal of the organization is to have Floorball accredited as an Olympic
discipline at the next Olympic Games.
Runner‘s World Lounge - The Center of the Running Community
Everything revolves around running at the newly designed Runner’s World lounge in hall C3. For four days ultra runners will keep the treadmills smoking. The daily activities are accompanied by a changing booth program with interesting expert panels, product presentations, athlete interviews, and awards. Certainly one of the highlights is the presentation of the Runner’s World ispo awards. a tentative summit program follows:
